Workflows

Workflows are collections of Steps to achieve a specific task. A workflow could be steps required to onboard a customer or produce a report.

Typically Steps that exist in Workflows are reified versions of their base selves.

All that means is that transactions, people, and entities are actually jurisdiction-specific copies of the underlying records that persist only on the workflow/report that they're in. This allows us to lock the present state of records at the time of report creation. This also might mean that you need to locate an underlying Step if you want to make changes that apply everywhere.

Changes within a workflow are added to our audit trail. Not that this often requires one to manually click Save on a lot of the workflow steps.
